Deep Blue Discoveries is a fun, informative, 50-minute classroom program that introduces your elementary school students to the New England marine ecosystem. The program includes an introduction to snorkeling and scuba diving, a terrific underwater DVD tour of this dynamic marine ecosystem as well as specific classroom activities reinforcing specific scientific concepts that are being studied. Importantly, the Deep Blue Discoveries program is customized to fit your lesson plans while meeting the state curriculum frameworks and NSES standards.
OUR NEW PROGRAM - “LIFE IN THE BAY”
Take your students on an exciting underwater adventure and exploration of a bay in New England called Pleasant Bay located on Cape Cod. See your lesson plans come alive right before your students’ eyes! Not only are the animals and their habitats beautifully illustrated, but your class will see the threats to the bay’s ecology also. Importantly, your students will be inspired to protect our marine ecosystem.
Various underwater habitats will be studied as well as the roles that the aquatic vegetation have within them. In addition, animals will be seen within their respective habitats also. Importantly, your students will see coastal marine ecology as it truly is. In addition, they will be shown specific steps they can take to protect these vital habitats.
